Meet more of
our kitties.
Every kitty has a story. Here are more of the beloved cats who call our sanctuary home.

A MOTHER’S LOVE. A LIFETIME OF CARE.
Toph
10 years old · Born blind
Born blind, Toph survived life on the streets with the care of her mom, Leah, until she was rescued from a feral colony. Today, both Toph and Leah are part of our sanctuary family.
Toph recently experienced a bout of pancreatitis and recovered with treatment. Here at the sanctuary, she has a loving home and the ongoing care she needs.

FINDING SAFETY. LEARNING TO TRUST.
CoCo
7 years old · Tyke’s bonded buddy
CoCo was found under the hood of a car, with no momma cat or other kittens around. He had a bad upper respiratory infection when he was rescued.
He was trapped and nursed back to health with vet care, and neutered when he was old enough. Learning to trust humans took time, patience, and care.
Today, CoCo has a loving home at the sanctuary and a special bond with his buddy Tyke.

A LITTLE SURVIVOR. A LIFETIME OF LOVE.
Lil Dany
7 years old · Our petite survivor
Lil Dany was the lone survivor of a litter of kittens rescued in the dead of a freezing cold winter. With care and love, she thrived and was spayed.
She has always been very petite. Lil Dany has experienced some balance issues related to her ears, but she is currently doing well.
Today, she has a loving home for life as part of our sanctuary family.

ONE OF OUR TRIO OF CUTENESS
Reggie
2 years old
At just one week old, Reggie was rescued after someone discovered him and his littermates in a box that had been thrown into a dumpster in the hot summer sun.
With bottle feedings and loving care, Reggie thrived. He later became ill with calicivirus, but rallied with supportive care and is currently doing well.
Today, Reggie is a beloved member of our sanctuary family and one of our “trio of cuteness” kitties.

ANOTHER OF OUR TRIO OF CUTENESS
Matilda “Tilli”
2 years old
Matilda, affectionately known as Tilli, shares her rescue story with Reggie. At just one week old, she and her littermates were found in a box that had been thrown into a dumpster in the hot summer sun.
With bottle feedings and loving care, Tilli thrived. Like Reggie, she later became ill with calicivirus, but rallied with supportive care and is currently doing well.
Her name, Matilda, was chosen to reflect her strength—a fitting name for this little survivor.
Today, Tilli is a beloved member of our sanctuary family and another of our “trio of cuteness” kitties.

OUR TRIO OF CUTENESS, COMPLETE
Nitschke
2 years old · A tough little survivor
Nitschke shares his beginnings with Tilli and Reggie. At just one week old, the trio was rescued after someone found them in a box that had been thrown into a dumpster in the hot summer sun. Bottle feedings and loving care helped them thrive.
Nitschke later faced calicivirus with limping and a high fever. With supportive care, including subcutaneous fluids given by Cat Mom, he recovered.
He later developed urinary crystals, but special care and a special diet helped him recover from that challenge, too.
Much bigger than Tilli and Reggie and already showing his tough spirit, he earned a fitting name: Cat Dad named him after a Green Bay Packers linebacker!
Today, Nitschke is doing well and completes our beloved “trio of cuteness.”

A FIERCE LITTLE SPIRIT. A SAFE PLACE TO LAND.
Fury “Lil Fury”
Fury earned his name as a tiny, blue-eyed kitten, furiously chasing after one of our barn community kitties. He was very sick and skinny, with no momma cat or other kittens to be found. We don’t know whether he had been abandoned or wandered over from a nearby farm.
With treatment, Fury began to improve, but then his health declined. He was taken to urgent care and treated for pneumonia.
With care and treatment, Fury bounced back. He received his veterinary care and is now living happily and healthily as part of our sanctuary family.
Black cats can be overlooked in shelters. Here, Fury is seen, cherished, safe, and loved—and he has a home for life.

A SECOND CHANCE. A VERY SPECIAL BOND.
Spookily
4 years old · Safe indoors for life
Spookily was a feral barn community cat living in harm’s way in another small town. After being trapped, spayed, and given veterinary care, she came to our sanctuary and was carefully acclimated to her new surroundings.
When she suddenly became very ill and weak, Cat Mom was able to scoop her up and get her to the vet. An autoimmune condition was suspected. Spookily lost circulation to a hind leg and foot, and her leg had to be amputated at the hip.
Her prognosis was uncertain, but with care and love, Spookily recovered. She now lives safely indoors at the sanctuary.
She is still wary of most, but she has a special trust in Cat Mom, showering her with love and kisses—as though she knows who helped save her life.

A SAFE HOME. TRUST AT HER OWN PACE.
LuLu Belle
9 years old
LuLu Belle was rescued from a small town where she was living in harm’s way. Initially feral, she received veterinary care and settled into our sanctuary area, where she has a safe home for life.
With patience and care, she is beginning to trust—with an occasional swat or two along the way! We’re giving LuLu Belle the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved.

A PROMISE OF LOVE. A HOME FOR LIFE.
Brody
10 years old
Brody came to our sanctuary to honor a last wish from his human mom while she was receiving hospice care. She had rescued him, along with her other rescued kitties, Polly Anna and Jazzy, and wanted him to have a safe, loving home.
He is the sweetest boy, always ready to share his love. Sit down in the sanctuary, and Brody is quick to make himself at home on your lap!
We’re honored to carry on the love his mom gave him and provide him with a home for life.

A LAST WISH. A LIFETIME OF LOVE.
Polly Anna
Around 10 years old
Polly Anna came to our sanctuary, along with Brody and Jazzy, to honor their human mom’s last wish while she was receiving hospice care. Here, the love she had for her rescued kitties carries on.
Polly Anna is a sweet girl who loves attention—and she gets lots of it here! She has a safe, loving home for life as part of our sanctuary family.

A PROMISE KEPT. CONTINUING CARE.
Jazzy
Around 9 years old
Jazzy was rescued by her previous human mom and came to our sanctuary alongside Brody and Polly Anna. Their mom was receiving hospice care, and welcoming her beloved rescued kitties into a safe, loving home honored her last wish.
Jazzy has chronic sinus issues and will soon have a procedure that we hope will help. She has a loving home for life here, with ongoing care and support as she faces this next step.

A LITTLE SPICE. A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOME.
Meg
2 years old · Stevie’s sister
Meg and her sibling Stevie were rescued while living in a tractor after their momma cat sadly passed away. Both had severe upper respiratory infections and received treatment before coming to our sanctuary.
Meg is a little spicy and prefers interaction on her own terms. Here, we respect her space and let her set the pace, giving her a safe, loving home where she can be herself.

RESCUED WITH KINDNESS. SAFE AND RESPECTED.
Lil Pumpkin
A concerned person rescued Lil Pumpkin from a small town, very sick and emaciated. With loving care, Lil Pumpkin was nursed back to health and received veterinary care before finding a safe home at our sanctuary.
Sweet but skittish, this orange kitty is free to enjoy life at a comfortable pace. Here, Lil Pumpkin’s boundaries are respected, with safety, kindness, and a loving home for life.

A SPICY SPIRIT. A SAFE HOME.
Sparky
Sparky was rescued from a busy construction site, all by himself as a little sickly kitten.
With his temperament, he probably should have been named “Spicy”—but we thought Sparky was the cuter option!
Today, he lives safely in our sanctuary area, where his boundaries are respected and he has the space to be himself.

OUR OLDEST KITTY. CHERISHED THROUGH EVERY SEASON.
Gracie
Almost 17 years old · Our oldest sanctuary kitty
Born in a feral colony, Gracie was never quite trusting of people until her senior years began to slow her down. Now almost 17, she is the oldest kitty at our sanctuary and a cherished member of our family.
Gracie has some kidney issues and has lost some weight, but she is still happy and enjoying a good quality of life. Her comfort, health, and quality of life are continually monitored so her care stays centered on her needs.

PLENTY OF CATTITUDE. A HOME FOR LIFE.
Chloe
4 years old
Chloe came to our sanctuary as a kitten after being rescued from a busy parking lot in town, where she had almost been hit by a vehicle.
This tabby girl has a lot of cattitude and likes things on her terms, of course! Here, her boundaries are respected, and she has a safe, loving home where she can be herself.

A GENTLE FLOOF. A LOVING HOME.
Bandit
Bandit was abandoned in the country and was very sick when he was rescued. During his veterinary care, he was found to be FIV positive.
Neutered years ago, Bandit is a gentle, sweet, floofy boy with so much love to give. He lives peacefully alongside the other kitties in our sanctuary.
FIV-positive cats can enjoy many healthy, happy years with appropriate care. FIV spreads mainly through bite wounds, so transmission risk is low in stable groups of cats who don’t fight. Regular veterinary visits and close monitoring are important throughout their lives, especially as they grow older.

FROM HARDWARE STORE CAT TO SANCTUARY FAMILY.
Sylvester “Sylvie”
9 years old
Sylvester, affectionately known as Sylvie, was a small-town hardware store cat. When the store closed, he was left homeless—but he found a new home here at our sanctuary.
He is quite the character and likes attention only on his own terms. With his boundaries respected and room to be himself, Sylvie has fit right in with our sanctuary family.

A SPECIAL LITTLE PAW. SO MUCH LOVE.
Dempsey
Dempsey is the cutest, sweetest Siamese mix, with a special front paw that has just one toe and claw, with the rest missing. After taking X-rays, his vet determined that he was either born this way or had a very old injury. He gets around just fine in his own special way.
He also has chronic sinus issues and takes long-term medication to help manage them.
Dempsey is happy, loves his home, and enjoys plenty of attention. Here at the sanctuary, he has the care and love he needs to thrive.

A SWEET SENIOR. LOVE AND COMFORT FIRST.
Cleo
One of our cherished seniors
Cleo came to our sanctuary when our neighbor passed away suddenly, leaving this sweet but spicy girl without a home. Here, she became part of our sanctuary family.
She had a mammary tumor removed, and sadly, it has returned. For now, Cleo continues to enjoy a good quality of life, and we are keeping a close eye on her comfort and well-being.
She has a safe, loving home where her needs and quality of life remain at the heart of her care.

PLENTY OF OPINIONS. PLENTY OF LOVE.
Zuri
One of our sweet seniors
Zuri came to our sanctuary when her human mom moved to a care center and couldn’t take her along. This sweet senior found a loving home here with our sanctuary family.
Zuri is quite the girl—very opinionated and never afraid to tell you all about it!
When you walk in, she is usually lying flat on her back with her belly up. But beware: it’s a trap! We enjoy her personality while respecting her boundaries.
